Providence Health is Hiring a Patient Care Technician Near Seaside, OR

Description

CNA 2 – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Seaside Hospital. This posting represents a 0.9 FTE, night shift opening.

Extra Incentives:

  • Evening shift differential – $ 2.25 p/hr
  • Night shift differential – $4.00 p/hr

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA2) is responsible for performing direct patient care services related to activities of daily living and for auxiliary support as related to nursing unit functioning. An employee responsible for patient care must be competent in the assessment, treatment, and age-related care. Consequently, the employee must be competent in the interpretation of a patient's self-report or behavior, and this information must be interpreted with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial and chronological maturation process. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course, or grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
  • Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualification:

  • 1 year experience as a CNA 2.
